Holidays with children can prove challenging when it's time to eat. Where do you find child-friendly places to eat offering good food and where children are not a nuisance to other diners?

On my numerous trips around Copenhagen with the family, I have visited various cafés, and below I have listed the best of them from the different parts of the city:

The Laundromat Café (Frederiksberg)

A super child-friendly café with a fantastic play area where children can amuse themselves for ages, giving you time to enjoy your visit to the café.

Café G (Gråbrødre Torv)

A fabulous café with good food, where there is also a baby changing room in the basement, so you needn't pile up towels and terry nappies on the floor to change junior.

Royal Smushi Café (Amagertorv 6, 1160 Cph K)

The delicious brunch has it all, including dishes that children like.

Café Hovedtelegrafen (on top of the Post & Tele Museum)

The view is fantastic. Among other things, you can see Rundetårn (the Round Tower), The Marble Church and Christiansborg Palace, and prams and pushchairs can be left in the cloakroom on the ground floor.

Mormors Café (Bredgade)

This is one of my absolute faves. It's a little refuge in the middle of Bredgade, where the modern wall mirrors have been replaced with beautiful floral wallpaper. It exudes peace and tranquillity, which is completely in line with the café's way of doing things. All created for the love of good coffee, delicious sandwiches, not to mention home-made cakes.
